Advocacy

Sharing your story and becoming a champion for early childhood issues makes a difference in the lives of young children, families and small businesses across Montana.

Learn more below about different ways you can get involved in advocacy efforts and use your voice to help create positive change.

  • Montana Early Childhood Network: Join an effort to coordinate and connect people, organizations, coalitions, and ideas, to ensure every child and family in Montana is considered in the decisions that shape their future. Membership is free, and the network is as diverse as the system it represents.
  • Montana Parent Voice: Montana Parent Voice is an online community for families to come together, learn, and take action for the early childhood system we all want to see for our children. Join the conversation on Facebook & Instagram
  • Montana Early Learning Alliance (MELA): Montana is 1 of 4 states without a public preschool. This coalition is dedicated to identifying a pathway for quality preschool options across Montana.
  • Montana Strong Start Alliance: Montana is an expensive place to live. This coalition works together to advance a refundable Montana child tax credit.
  • Early Childhood Tribal Coalition (ECTC): This is a tribally-led coalition that aims to shape policies and initiatives that reflect the diverse needs of Montana’s Native communities and promote equitable early childhood development statewide.
