Montana Early Childhood Network

A child’s earliest years are one of the most vitally important chapters in a person’s life. The relationships, care, and support children receive from birth to age five shape their future, and the future of our communities.

That’s why Montanans from all walks of life are coming together to form the Montana Early Childhood Network, an effort to coordinate and connect people, organizations, coalitions, and ideas, to ensure every child and family in Montana is considered in the decisions that shape their future. Membership is free, and the network is as diverse as the system it represents. Members engage in ways that align with their interests, experience and capacity

About the Network

To increase coordination and build collective impact, Montanans working to improve the early childhood system in our state are uniting to form the Montana Early Childhood Network to ensure young children and families in Montana are prioritized in decision-making at all levels.

We know early childhood is a crucially important period of growth and development – the experiences and relationships we form in our earliest years have a lasting impact throughout our lives.

The Montana Early Childhood Network is a diverse and unique group including individuals, organizations, and coalitions who care about a robust and supported early childhood system in Montana.

Thank you to the network’s Design Team for their work and vision in laying out the foundation for this initiative:

Montana Head Start Association, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies – The Montana Coalition, MT DPHHS Office of American Indian Health, Headwaters Foundation, Montana Advocates for Children, School Administrators of Montana, Montana Chamber of Commerce, University of Montana Center for Children, Families, and Workforce Development, Callie Triller, Zero to Five Missoula County, Montana Cooperative Development Center, Raise Montana, and the MT DPHHS-Early Childhood and Family Support Division.
